It’s been a few months since Mario & Luigi: Brothership launched on the Nintendo Switch, and now, the game has received its very first update.
This update, Version 1.0.1, aims to fix multiple bugs that players have encountered since release. While it addresses several key issues, it’s worth noting that not every known bug may have been resolved just yet. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s been fixed, according to Nintendo’s official patch notes.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership Ver. 1.0.1 (Released February 18, 2025)
Bug Fixes:
- Players were unable to obtain the Luck Charm DX even after reaching 100+ in Hammer Rally.
- Luigi’s Bros. Attack, Jump Helmet, would only display a single-digit damage value instead of the full counter.
- Defeating a Mega Snaptor with Surprise Iron Ball while having the Coinpiler Battle Plug equipped resulted in zero experience points gained.
- A soft lock occurred if players defeated all enemies with the Countdown to Crush Battle Plug while completing a Challenge, preventing them from receiving their rewards.
- The fifth Power Tap was obtainable earlier than intended.
- The boss battle inside the Color-Full Sea Great Lighthouse wasn’t triggering in the correct location, blocking progress.
- Attempting to call Luigi back in the cave on Skorcheen Island would cause an infinite loop, making it impossible to continue.
- Some players found themselves stuck during the IDLE Group’s first event on Desolatt Island, preventing further progression.
- Various other minor bugs and glitches have also been addressed.
This update should smooth out some of the game’s rough edges, but if you’ve encountered anything else that still needs fixing, let us know! Have you noticed any improvements or changes since downloading Version 1.0.1? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
